As a Houston equine photographer, I’ve created timeless images in all kinds of locations—from backyard barns in Cypress and Katy to quiet fields in Tomball and Conroe. And I’m here to reassure you: your property is likely more than enough.

What I Look for in a Location

When I arrive at a property, I’m not searching for Pinterest perfection. I’m looking for:


  • Good natural light. A shaded spot by a tree line, soft sunset light over a pasture, or even filtered light in a barn aisle can create magic.
  • Simple backgrounds. Clean lines, open spaces, or a dark barn doorway are perfect for letting your horse shine.
  • Connection and comfort. Horses relax in familiar places. That sense of ease often leads to the most emotionally resonant images.


How I Make Any Space Work

Whether your barn is custom-built or more “functional than fancy,” there’s always beauty to be found. My job is to see it—and to help you see it, too.


I’ll guide you in choosing the best areas on your property for portraits, help move small distractions out of frame, and work with the light we have. I often photograph in tight corners that don’t look like much in person, but through my lens, they become something truly special.


You don’t have to stress about the weeds by the fence line or the feed buckets stacked in the corner. I’ve seen it all—and I promise it’s okay.

Houston Locations I Love

While I often photograph horses right at home, I also work in beautiful equestrian spaces across the greater Houston area. Some of my favorite spots for equine photography sessions include:


  • Private barns in Magnolia, Tomball, Spring, and The Woodlands
  • Open pastures and ranch-style properties in Alvin or Fulshear and Waller County
  • Shady, oak-lined trails near Hockley and Richmond
  • Sunset-lit arenas in Cypress and Brookshire
  • Public equestrian trails in the Houston area
