Equine photography is an investment in preserving your horse’s legacy through expertly crafted images. With a focus on composition, lighting, and detail, each session is designed to create refined portraits that showcase your horse’s beauty and personality. Let’s work together to create stunning, professional images.

How do you get my horse to look alert and engaged in photos?

It’s one of the most common questions I get from horse owners in the Houston area—and the answer is simple: I use calm, intuitive methods rooted in trust, patience, and a deep understanding of equine behavior.

I bring along a curated set of tools—like squeaky toys, party favors, pompoms, and even a hobby horse—to gently capture your horse’s attention without stress or force. Each session is relaxed and personalized, whether we’re at a private barn in Cypress or a scenic pasture in The Woodlands. My goal is always the same: to create beautiful, heartfelt equine portraits that reflect your horse’s spirit and the bond you share.

The Artwork

What you're going to do with your images is perhaps the most important aspect to consider when you're planning for a photo session, but it's all too often the aspect that's overlooked... all that time and money invested deserve a better return than photos gathering dust on a hard drive somewhere. You'll never get the same feeling looking at your photos on a screen as you will seeing them on your wall or flipping through the pages of an album, so I include a substantial print credit with every collection.

FAQ

How is horse black background photography done?

These photos are usually taken with just natural lighting from the entrance to a barn aisle or indoor arena. Depending on the location, I might also set up some black backdrops to block out any additional background lighting, this is attached to the barn sides of the alleyway. Everything else is edited out with Photoshop for the final image!

Do you do holiday themed horse photography?

Yes I do! I offer these as special sessions through out the year. In these types of sessions, the majority of the images are headshots, but we still will see the top line, shoulder, chest. I will usually bring a variety of wreaths to choose from but you can also provide your own!

What should I wear when photographed with my horse??

We can work together to discuss outfit options. You can also take a look at my blog for inspiration and tips!

How far do you travel?

I am based in Fort Bend County and will travel throughout the greater Houston area. Travel fees may apply for distances over 25 miles.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, I can work with you and spread out payments weekly or monthly. Payment plans will be agreed upon during ordering session. If you decide to discontinue your payment plan, funds are non-refundable.
