Doodles Everywhere

You'd have to be living under a rock to not have seen a doodle dog of some kind. The origin story of these poodle mixes can vary depending on who you ask, but in general, doodles are a mix of a popular dog breed and a poodle. Goldendoodles and Labradoodles are the most prevalent crosses.

Tallulala the Bernedoodle

Last month, I met my first Berndedoodle named Tallulah! Tallulah's mom signed up for one of my annual Bluebonnet sessions. Berndedoodles are a mix between poodle and Bernese Mountain Dog. They come in both standard and mini varieties. Tallulah was just a puppy but already showing signs of her large size potential as she weighed 45 lbs when I photographed her!

Playful and Intelligent Pups

Poodles are widely known as being one of the smartest dog breeds, so having a poodle as a parent means that Bernedoodles are highly intelligent too. Being a puppy, Tallulah had a pretty short attention span but I came armed to the session with lots of tricks up my sleeve to get her attention.
